എങ്കിലെ കുട്ടി കൂട്ടുകാരനാകൂ...

നമ്മുടെ സംശയങ്ങള്‍ പങ്കുവെക്കാനുള്ള ഇടമാണിത് .
ഇവിടെ നമ്മോടൊപ്പം കൃഷ്ണന്‍ സാറും വിജയകുമാര്‍ സാറും മറ്റുമുണ്ട്

    What is the meaning of 'right handed system' in vectors ? Is a, b, a X b form a 'right handed system' ?

      By definition axb = ab sin(x)n^,where n^ is the unit vector perpendicular to the plain determined by a & b,but a plain divides the space in to 2,so there are two cases for n^, so, in order to fix the direction of n^,we say that the rotation from a to b should be anti clockwise while looking from the direction of n^. thus the direction of n^ is fixed.

      Three vectors a,b & c ,taken in this order, satisfying this condition (rotation from a to b is anti clockwise looking from the direction of c)are said to form a right handed system.

      Direction of axb is the direction of n^,so a,b, axb, form a right handed system

    Please explain how the following is true!...

    If the vectors c, a = xi+yj+zk, b = j are such that vectors a, c, b form a right handed system then vector c is [Jamia Millia Islamia 2005]
    Ans:(options)
    [a]zi-xk [b]zero vector [c]yj [d]-zi+xk

    (Ans. given in books is option [a] obtained by c=axb)

    I think the ans is [c]
    If a,b,c is RH system then a,b,-c is LH system. If a,b,c is LH then a,c,b is RH.

    a,b,axb is RH -> a,b,-axb is LH -> a,-axb,b is RH

    option [c]is -axb

    since a,-axb,b is RH a,axb,b is LH so option [a] is wrong
    LH,RH system deals with the direction of vectors , zero vector don't have a direction
    a,b yj, are coplanar ( yj is in the direction of b)so they are neither LH nor RH (LH/RH system describes to which half plane the third vector is directed)
